Mangrove and Pelicans

British Virgin Islands

Two Pelicans

I had never seen Mangrove trees before this trip. With the tight schedule and quick pace we were keeping en route to the Bubbly Pool on  the Island of  Jost Van Dyke, I didn’t have time to indulge my arboreal obsession. As we walked along the circuitous path from the boat dock following the shore line, I had about 2o seconds to compose photos, careful to keep my group in sight so I didn’t get left behind. With this stop, the Mangroves served as perch for two Pelicans and anchor for the asymmetrical composition.
